Turning Ordinary Switchboards into Smart Ones — The Rise of Eviltron

Eviltron, a student-founded startup from Sagar, has developed a smart retrofit switchboard module that enables smart home control through an app, voice commands, and automation. Incubated in 2023 at Spark Incubation Center under Incubation Masters.

Turning Ordinary Switchboards into Smart Ones — The Rise of Eviltron

Some startups begin with big funding. Some begin with big teams. Eviltron began with two college students from Sagar who simply believed,
“Why shouldn’t every Indian home be a smart home?”

Mayank Lodhi (Founder) and Ankit Kurmi (Co-Founder) — two curious engineering minds who started building tech solutions between classes, labs, and semester exams. What started as a side experiment soon transformed into a serious innovation: a retrofit smart switchboard module that can turn any normal switchboard into a smart one — without rewiring, without replacing anything, and without burning a hole in your pocket.

What Eviltron Has Built

Eviltron’s product is designed for real Indian homes — where old wiring, mixed switch types, and unreliable connections are common. Their smart module fits inside a standard switchboard and instantly upgrades it to a smart switchboard.

Key Features of Eviltron’s Smart Retrofit Module

  •  Converts any traditional switchboard into a smart switchboard

  •  Control lights, fans, & appliances remotely using a mobile app

  •  Works smoothly with Google Assistant and Alexa for voice commands

  •  Automatic mode that detects human presence & adjusts devices for energy efficiency

  •  Fully custom-designed PCB for seamless integration and better performance

The founders shared early sketches, circuit diagrams, and PCB layouts — and it's clear how much engineering passion has gone into this innovation.

Spark Incubation Center — The Launchpad Behind Eviltron

Eviltron joined Spark Incubation Center, Sagar, in 2023, right when their idea needed direction, structure, and expert guidance. Spark, managed by Incubation Masters, provided exactly that — and more.

At Spark, the team received:

  • IP support for protecting their innovation

  • Product development assistance to refine the module

  • Team-building guidance to expand their technical strength

  • GTM (Go-To-Market) strategy support to prepare for launch

One of the big boosts was the 3D Printing Lab established by Incubation Masters at Spark. This helped Eviltron rapidly test and redesign their hardware casing, components, and prototypes — saving them time, cost, and countless iterations.

Incubation Masters: Enabling the Next Generation of Innovators

Incubation Masters, through its IM Global network, is driving a powerful startup transformation across Madhya Pradesh. By setting up labs, running structured programs, and providing real mentors, tools, and opportunities, IM is enabling young founders to turn ideas into impactful products and compete on national platforms.

Spark Incubation Center, operated under Incubation Masters, has emerged as a strong innovation hub for Sagar and nearby regions—supporting students and first-time founders with guidance, resources, and a nurturing startup community. Eviltron stands as one of the shining examples of what young innovators can achieve with IM’s ecosystem behind them.
