In today’s innovation-driven world, success begins with ideas — and the courage to act on them. Recognizing this, Gincube (
Gwalior Smart City Incubation Centre) launched “Little CEOs of Gwalior” — a first-of-its-kind entrepreneurship program for school students that builds creativity, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
This initiative is more than a competition; it’s a movement to nurture young entrepreneurs who can lead India’s innovation story. By learning to think like CEOs, students gain the mindset and skills needed to build their own future.
About Little CEO
It is a unique platform that encourages school students from Classes 9 to 12 to think like entrepreneurs, solve real-world challenges, and develop leadership skills through startup education. Organized by Gincube – Gwalior Smart City Incubation Centre, the program helps students:
- Build self-confidence
- Enhance problem-solving skills
- Learn teamwork and leadership
- Gain entrepreneurial thinking
Students can participate individually or in teams (up to four members). After registration, they submit innovative ideas, and shortlisted students pitch them in the final round — just like real startup founders.
Why Little CEO
Early exposure to entrepreneurship transforms the way students think. It helps them develop creativity, communication, and leadership — skills that go far beyond the classroom. When children learn entrepreneurship, they:
- Approach challenges with confidence.
- Think independently and critically.
- Collaborate effectively in teams.
- Turn ideas into solutions.
Such programs prepare India’s youth to become innovators and changemakers — aligning perfectly with the government’s vision for an Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).
Aligned with National Student Entrepreneurship Initiatives
The Little CEOs of Gwalior initiative is not just a local effort — it connects directly with India’s student-focused innovation ecosystem, supported by several government missions:
Through Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs), AIM inspires school students to explore innovation and design thinking. Like the ATLs, Little CEOs of Gwalior encourages creative thinking and hands-on learning, helping students apply classroom knowledge to real-world ideas.
- School Innovation Ambassador Program (SIAP)
An initiative by the Ministry of Education and AICTE, SIAP trains teachers to mentor students in innovation. Gincube’s Little CEOs program complements this by providing a real-world entrepreneurship platform for those mentored students.
- Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan (RAA)
RAA integrates science and innovation into school curricula — inspiring curiosity and experimentation, just as the Little CEOs program does through business and leadership challenges.
This initiative promotes youth entrepreneurship and innovation. Gincube’s Little CEOs acts as the foundation at the school level — preparing students to one day join national innovation platforms like Youth Co:Lab.
Program Structure & Highlights
The Little CEOs of Gwalior program follows a clear, engaging flow that blends school entrepreneurship program components and experiential learning:
- Idea Generation & Problem-Solving: Students explore everyday challenges and brainstorm business ideas.
- Team Collaboration & Young Entrepreneur Roles: Each team appoints a “CEO”, “Marketing Lead”, etc., teaching leadership and role-responsibility.
- Prototype or Concept Creation: Teams bring their ideas to life with simple models or pitch decks.
- Pitch and Presentation: Young entrepreneurs present their startup concepts and experience the full cycle from idea to action.
- Mentorship & Feedback: Industry mentors and startup educators provide guidance and real-world insight.
- Recognition & Celebration: Certificates and recognition celebrate innovation, effort, and leadership.
Together, these steps deliver an immersive experience of startup education tailored for children and embedded in a school entrepreneurship program in Indian context.
Impact & Vision
By combining creativity with structure, the Little CEO program builds students' confidence and a sense of purpose. It aligns perfectly with Startup India’s goal of fostering entrepreneurship at every level of society.
The long-term vision of Gincube is to make Gwalior a hub for young innovators, empowering every school to produce confident, future-ready leaders.
